Sharing a Google Doc with your Teacher

  1. Sign in to Google Docs.
  2. Click the Share button.
  3. Type your teacher’s email address in the box ( e.g. arroyo.barbara@pvbears.org)
  4. Change "Can edit" to Can comment.
  5. Click Done.

Submit Your Paper to Turnitin

Directions for Submitting Paper to Turnitin from your Google Drive

  1. Go to www.turnitin.com
  2. Log in with your PV Student email (e.g. Student ID@pvbears.org) and school password
  3. Click your class
  4. Click the Submit button
  5. Make sure "Single File Upload" appears after the "Submit" at the top of the page
  6. Type the title of your paper in the "Submission title box".
  7. Under "Choose File" you want to upload to Turnitin, click Choose from Google Drive
  8. If you receive the Google permission box, click Allow.
  9. Click the file you would like to upload. Click Select.
  10. Click Upload.
  11. Click Confirm.
  • You must submit your first and final drafts to the plagiarism prevention service Turnitin. Turnitin will produce an Originality Report in minutes highlighting matching or unoriginal text in your paper.
  • You should analyze the feedback from the Originality Report to make sure that your paper is your original work and that all quoted, paraphrased or summarized text is cited properly.
  • If the Originality Report for your first draft shows a high percentage of matching text, you should edit your first draft and resubmit your final paper with more original content and proper citations for all quoted, paraphrased, and summarized text. Make sure you submit your paper under a new assignment for revisions set up by your teacher.
