Real Estate

Real Estate

"Property is one of the most expensive and complicated things that most of us ever buy or sell. Sometimes property is so expensive or needed for such a short period of time that we prefer to rent or lease. In both cases, an establishment in the Real Estate or Rental and Leasing industry can help.

Real estate and related activities account for about 83% of the establishments in this industry. We turn to them to handle the complex transactions required when buying, selling, and renting property. These establishments deal with housing, commercial buildings such as offices and shopping centers, and other non-residential spaces such as halls, meeting rooms, and theaters. They usually operate on a commission basis, earning a portion of the purchase or rental fees.

Some establishments perform activities related to real estate, such as managing and operating buildings, or performing appraisals. The sector also includes corporations or trusts that use investor money to purchase property and pay dividends (known as real estate income trusts)."  ~Career Cruising database
