Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, and Hunting

"The Agriculture, Forestry, Fishing, and Hunting industry includes establishments that grow crops, raise animals, harvest timber, or harvest fish and other animals from farms, ranches, or their natural habitats.

This industry covers two basic areas: agricultural production and agricultural support activities. Agricultural production establishments perform all aspects of running a farm or ranch, such as farm owners or operators, tenant farm operators, and sharecroppers.  Agricultural support activity establishments provide one or more services associated with farming or forestry, on a contract or fee basis. Services include soil preparation, planting, harvesting, breeding, timber estimating, and managing. This area also includes labor contractors who specialize in supplying labor for agricultural production."
